Alpine Pharmaceuticals was established by Michael Quinn in 1997 a s a subsidiary of Hahnemann Laboratories, Inc. to handle exclusively the manufacture and sale of SinEcch™, the natural Homeopathic Remedy for reducing bruising and swelling. The methods of preparation used at Alpine Pharmaceuticals are rooted in the traditional methods used by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, a physician who prepared the first Homeopathic Medicines in the early 1800s. Alpine Pharmaceuticals follows and exceeds the standards of the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States (HPUS), and the regulatory requirements of the FDA are followed and exceeded by using protocols that guarantee that each natural Homeopathic Remedy we provide is the finest available.
Since it was founded in 1985 by pharmacist Michael Quinn, Hahnemann Laboratories, Inc. has provided finest-quality Homeopathic Remedies to many thousands of individuals, Homeopathy physicians, and MDs. More than 64,000 different Homeopathic Medicines are manufactured by Hahnemann Laboratories, Inc., located in San Rafael, California, about 20 miles north of San Francisco. The facilities were deliberately located in San Rafael because of its clean air and small town setting.
The FDA-licensed laboratory is a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical production facility, exceeding the standards for cleanliness and workflow design seen in most conventional pharmaceutical plants. The laboratory is a "cleanroom" — that is, cleanroom technology was used to keep the level of particulate contamination extremely low among all of the components of the lab.

Homeopathy first impacted my life in 1974. I began to study it intensively and later practiced Homeopathy as a layman for a few years. After graduating from Oregon State University's College of Pharmacy in 1979, I was a hospital pharmacist at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center for six years, where I was Senior Pharmacist and later Supervisor of the Intravenous Admixture Service of the Department of Pharmacy.
I started Hahnemann Laboratories, Inc. in 1985, beginning first as a retail pharmacy devoted exclusively to providing Homeopathic Medicines to the patients of some of the finest Homeopaths in the world, at the Hahnemann Clinic in Berkeley, California. After a year of dissatisfaction with the quality of the remedies available at that time, the doctors urged me to begin preparing the medicines myself.
I began to make Homeopathic Medicines myself using the traditional methods and bringing the exacting concern for quality control that I had learned while working at UCSD, where I was responsible for the production of over one million sterile intravenous solutions for the hospital's patients.
The Homeopathic doctors at the Hahnemann Clinic in Berkeley began to notice a dramatic difference between the medicines that I made and the medicines available from other Homeopathic manufacturers. The medicines I made had stronger and surer benefits to patients. The demand for our remedies grew steadily and, in 1997, we opened our FDA-licensed Homeopathic pharmaceutical laboratory in addition to our pharmacy.
